MY MINIATURE MARKET

The Bake Stall and the Fishmonger
are in the foreground.
Behind them is the Toy Stall and
next to that the Plant and Gardener's Stall

Most of the baked goods are made from polymer clay.I used poppy seeds, painted brown, as chocolate chips in the cookies and as raisins in the buns
The bread is made from Crayola Model Magic. This product is like a soft styrofoam, you can shape it easily into little loaves. After it air dried I painted it with a wash of brown  and brushed brown stained glass paint. A touch of white chalk [ flour] and there you have a it mini loaf. This is a great project for kids as you can actually slice the loaf and paint with ''jam or peanut butter '' color paint.

Fred is the Fishmonger

I used broken crystal for the ice and, of course, polymer clay for all the fish. Silver paint and different pearl type nail polish came in very handy to simulate the skin .
The tiny shells are real.
everything in this stall was sprayed with a lot of coats of glossy spray to make it appear wet.

A closer look at the baked goods.Ethel in the foreground is
posed to look with delight at the cakes. Next to her are two raggedy children, they are looking with longing at the delicious baked goods which they can't afford to buy.
