There are many ways to make floor coverings in dollhouses. Printable floors, like those on this web site can be a quick and affordable solution. I have seen floors constructed from popsicle/ice lolly sticks. Cut sanded and glued down one at a time a floor made this way is time consuming but the results are amazing.

As well, if you want your floors to be carpeted you can use a multitude of fabrics to achieve this look.It is best to make a template of the dollhouse floor out of paper and use the template as a pattern to cut out the fabric. Use spray starch and and an iron to get the fabric nice and flat.

I have seen people use real size carpet samples in their doll house,but it is really too thick to be effective
